I get some channels but they are all mixed up on the wrong Non-Freesat channel numbers. Can anyone help please? There are no logical channel numbers in non freesat mode simply because the lcn's come from the freesat epg. Basically when you use non-freesat tune the box allocates a channel number in the 's in the order they are found adding one to the last found channel. If you retune you simply add add duplicates with higher channel numbers. That's why you can freely renumber non freesat channels.
In respect of Freesat channels are you in the UK, if not where are you and can you tune channel in Freesat mode Freesat Info? UK When the box powers up it works fine until it tries to scan for Freesat channels, then the TV displays a plain blue screen, re-boots and the box displays the green oval of moving dotted lines. Then back to square one. I bought the kit suggested earlier and changed C12, C23, C14 and C Still exactly the same fault.
I managed to stop the scan, before it re-booted. Navigated back to the menu and selected a manual scan. The box found about channels, kept working and doesn't re-boot unless I scan for Freesat channels. I would like to update the software but it seems that Humax no longer have updates for this model. I also have a Humax Foxsat HDR which works fine, apart from the remote, which is in pieces to clean it. I have been using the same connections for both boxes.
I would appreciate it someone could point me in the right direction to update the Foxsat HD to the latest version. Website says U7. If the firmware you have downloaded from the Humax Beta Software Site is called something different, then rename the file and ensure that it has the necessary ".
Verify the firmware is on the memory stick. It must not be in a folder on the memory stick - so place it in the root of the drive. There should be no other files on the stick, other than the Humax Firmware. Prepare the box - With the Foxsat in "Standby" red light on front panel open the front cover and plug in the memory stick into the front panel USB socket.
Apply the software upgrade - Press and hold the Foxsat's silver front panel "Standby" switch for 30 seconds with your TV powered "on".
After just a few seconds the download screen should be displayed. Continue holding the button pressed until the 30 seconds is up and then release. Immediate problem. The box is set at software version 1. But it said 'no update is possible'. So that possibility shot down in flames.
Could this be a problem regarding his inputs from the dish? Two leads are connected but I have not checked whether his LNB has more than one output. He has 4 leads coming into his house but that's not to say his dish installer years ago didn't just bring down 4 leads 'for the future'. When searching for a freesat tune, it says tuner 2 zero strength and zero quality. Firstly it's no surprise that a search for the latest software found nothing. They are only broadcast for a short period.
