Microsoft wireless mouse 3500 not responding

I've had this mouse for about 8 months now and it's worked perfectly until yesterday when my sister took the Nano Transceiver out to use in another computer. When she plugged it back in my laptop which is a Toshiba with Windows Visa the mouse no longer works. The Lights on the mouse and transmitter are on and my computer recognizes the mouse and reads it as "Working Properly", but when I move the mouse, the pointer on the screen isn't moving.

It's not the batteries and I've tried putting the transmitter into different ports, but It's still not working. This thread is locked.
