If it did not work with passenger side either, then you'll have to trouble shoot the system using the online TSRM. THe passenger side seldom goes bad because it is hardly used. All I did was pull the Dome light fuse and the car started right up.
I got it home and rewired the dome light to the battery, now everything works great. I did some troubleshooting on the alarm wiring and the problem is in the alarm comp itself.
I'm going to install an after market alarm instead if replacing. I'm looking for one with remote door locks and starter, any suggestions??? Hey I been looking for an aftermarket alarm as well.
Although I heard they stopped making remote starters for manual cars because if you forget and leave the car in gear it will keep stalling out until you turn it off.
My friend had a Acura Integra and he got a remote starter only because it was already hooked up in the car when he bought it so he just had to wire it. You can check around but im pretty sure you won't be able to find someone who will install a remote starter in your supra i think the supra is jus too old. If you can lemme know how it works out. RE: Alarm System. I just had this problem today and here is the solution straight up from the dealer.
I have an 89 and this worked. With the driver side door open, insert the key and turn it to the unlock position twice. This will reset the system and allow you to start your car. I was a nervous wreck all morning and left work early to try this solution. The dealer said he would send me some info on how to disable the security system and if he does I'll pass it on.
